Scope of the service

Boat Clarity provides software for sellers and brokers to prepare and share pre-visit boat reports.

No survey or professional advice

Boat Clarity does not inspect, certify, value, broker, insure, sell or legally verify boats.

It does not replace a marine survey, sea trial, professional inspection, legal review, ownership verification, tax or VAT review, broker advice or any other professional due diligence.

Seller and account-holder responsibility

Users are responsible for the accuracy, legality and completeness of content they enter or share.

Users confirm they have the necessary rights to use uploaded images, report content and external document links.

Buyer responsibility

Buyers must make their own purchase decisions and carry out the checks and professional inspections they consider appropriate.

Shared links

Public report links may be forwarded by recipients.

Users remain responsible for deciding what information is made available through a shared report.

Prohibited use

No fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, defamatory, infringing or harmful content.

No attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer or misuse the service.

Availability and changes

The service may evolve, be maintained, suspended or discontinued where reasonably necessary.

Boat Clarity does not promise uptime or permanent free access.

Current pricing

The service may currently be available without charge.

Future paid features will be governed by separate pricing and sales terms before payment is requested.

Intellectual property

Boat Clarity retains rights in its software, interface, content and branding.

Users retain rights in their own submitted content.

Suspension and termination

Boat Clarity may suspend access where there is misuse, security risk or breach of these Terms.

Liability

Boat Clarity is not responsible for the truthfulness of seller-entered information or decisions made based on a report.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where French law or mandatory consumer law does not allow it.

Governing law

French law applies, without limiting mandatory consumer protections.
